Kingslegal's human resource team has been shortlisted for a national award, in recognition of its hard work, dedication and innovative approach to recruitment and retention.
The team which is headed up by Marsha Davies, has been shortlisted for the "Most innovative recruitment initiative" award at The Lawyer HR Awards 2009. The team, which includes Helen Gore and Holly Gretton, will be competing against four other firms from across the UK for the coveted title.
The Lawyer HR Awards, now in its third year, are the only awards that recognise the work of HR and management teams within the legal profession.
Kingslegal has previously been rated as Wales' leading defendant personal injury practice by the Legal 500 Journal and has also been voted as a Top 100 Employer in 2008.
Marsha Davies, head of HR and operations commented,
"We are delighted to have been shortlisted for The Lawyer HR Awards. Being part of a growing practice means we are constantly having to think of new ways to recruit and retain, in an innovative and forward thinking manner. We wish to continue to be recognised as a Top 100 employer and be able to give the best service possible, by recruiting and retaining only the most talented individuals."
Richard Crane, managing director of Kingslegal added,
"I am extremely proud of our HR team. They deserve the nomination as their work throughout 2008, including the role they played during our move to new premises has been outstanding and it is a delight that their modern approach to recruitment and retention has been recognised by the likes of The Lawyer HR Awards. We wish them the very best of luck!"
The award ceremony is set to take place on the 10th February 2009 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
