Owen Lewis, a full-time legal professional at Kingslegal, Newport, one of the UK's leading personal injury defence practices, has been awarded the ‘Student of the Year' runner-up prize at the Institute of Legal Executives Awards.
Owen Lewis, who studies part time at Coleg Glan Hafren, was nominated for the award that was open to all ILEX students studying the ILEX Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice and the The Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law in colleges and distance learning courses throughout South Wales. Six students were short-listed for the ‘Student Of The Year' category.
ILEX offers a highly cost-effective route to becoming a fully qualified lawyer and is accessible to those holding a wide variety of qualification levels.
The ILEX route is the ideal way to obtain a law qualification for recent school leavers, graduates, legal support staff, mature students, those changing career, as well as those with family commitments.
Owen commented,
"I am extremely pleased to be nominated for ‘Student of the Year'! I was passionate about developing my career in law so I have put all my time and effort in to doing well and the hard work seems to have been noticed. It is always encouraging when efforts are recognised and it now makes me want to work even harder in order to reach my full potential."
Marsha Davies, HR business partner at Kingslegal added,
"We are very proud that one of our employees has received a national recognition. We aim to employ highly talented and experience professionals at every level of the practice. Owen's nomination and award demonstrates this. His future at Kingslegal is very promising and we wish him the best of luck with his studies."
We are currently recruiting across all levels of the business.
